Where Should I Live in Ames?

Renewals have started, and it is time to start thinking about where you want to live next year. With over 1,100 units all over Ames we have something for everyone, and we would love to help you find your next home!

Near Iowa State

If you are a student, living as close as possible to campus might be the best option for you! We have hundreds of units within a block of campus, and we have units ranging from studio apartments to 3 bedroom townhome styles! Included in the rent is heat, water, gas, cable or DirecTV, Internet, water, sewer, trash, snow removal, and lawn care. If being directly on campus isn’t something you need, check out our Country Club Apartments! Country Club is within walking distance of the Ice Arena and Jack Trice Stadium! The 1 – 2 bedroom units offer free reserved parking, wall A/C, a dishwasher, and coin-operated laundry in the secured entrance building. The landlord pays for gas (heat), water/sewer, basic cable, and upgraded Internet (100 mbps). Undergrad students are welcome, and cats are allowed with applicable pet fees! Whether you’re a student looking for easy access to campus or not, our College Creek Apartments located in West Ames are a great choice for you! The studio, 1, and 2 bedroom apartments are right by two Cyride routes, and are a 5 minute drive to West Hy-Vee. The complex has plenty of parking and coin-operated laundry in each building. Units come with central A/C. The landlord pays for gas (heat), water/sewer, basic cable, and internet. Undergrad students are welcome, and cats are allowed with applicable pet fees! North Ames

Living in North Ames means you get the best of all worlds! If you are looking for easy Cyride access or apartments in a beautiful residential area, our Somerset apartments are perfect for you! They are located just around the corner from several local Ames favorites including The Cafe, El Azteca, and +39. They are also 8 minutes from campus and close to multiple CyRide stops. The landlord provides gas (heat), water/sewer, basic cable, and upgraded Internet (100 mbps). Tenants are responsible for electricity only. Buildings have secured entrances, and units come with central A/C, a dishwasher, a microwave, and often a garage! Tenants also have access to the Somerset Pool & Clubhouse. Undergrads are welcome! If luxury apartments are more your style, Grayhawk is the community for you! These luxury units feature high speed internet, secure entrances, a washer/dryer, DirecTV, and an assigned stall in an attached parking garage included in rent. Grayhawk Apartments offer access to a storm shelter, clubhouse, and a 24 hour fitness room. It is conveniently located next to a grocery store, medical center, gas station & car wash, and is just minutes from the restaurants and businesses in Somerset! If you are interested in North Ames Apartments, but Somerset or Grayhawk doesn’t sound quite right, Tiverton Court might be the perfect place for you to call home! The apartments are within walking distance to Fareway, and have easy access to all of the Somerset businesses. If you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood that’s near Iowa State Campus, the Tiverton Apartments may be right for you! Check out availability HERE
